Through mashups, Wikipedia and citizen journalism, people are creating content that challenges traditional media. Through social networking, people are finding one another and collaborating.

The social dimensions of online technologies have ushered in a communications revolution that is undermining industries, shattering institutions, and reshaping our society. David Erickson will examine these trends and peek beyond the horizon at the future of online technologies.
