Generation V: Rotary Phones & Webkinz

I’ve been thinking a lot lately how Generation V’s use of technology will shape their thinking and expectations. I’ll elaborate on this topic in a forthcoming post but I wanted to share two videos with you of Gen V’s interaction with technology, both old and new.

This first video is of my friend Blois Olson’s kids trying to dial their home phone number using an old school rotary-dial phone. Found at TweetReel from @bloisolson.

Michaela Explains Webkinz

This is my niece Michaela explaining to me what a Webkinz is. Found at YouTube from davideerickson.

You should talk with Sarah Kay Hoffman http://www.digitalmention.com/hirehoff/
, she is doing a whole thing with gen “Z” which is your gen “v” – Perhaps you two can collaborate. Love the phone video and the webkinz thing kind of blows my mind…
