95% of online Americans use email.
93% receive at least one permission-based email a day.
83% check their email at least once a day.
64% check it several times a day.
THOUGHT: For all the talk about social media, I’m amazed at how often I see examples of organizations who have yet to master the fundamentals of email communications.
Everyone uses email and it’s been around for a long time. And for all the talk of “activating” customers, the last mile, where brands usually fall down, is the oldest Internet medium, email.
If you want to learn how to use email well, how to use it to get people to do stuff, look to the political world. Look to how political campaigns use email for single purposes: To raise money, volunteers, or to get out the vote.
SUPER COOL TOOL TUESDAY: Google’s Page Speed tool tells you how fast your web page downloads (or how slow); Google favors sites that download faster over those that take longer.
Thank you for 80 degree weather today in Minneapolis.
