New Facebook Page Updates

Facebook began rolling out the updates to Facebook Pages yesterday and the single most exciting improvement is the ability for a Facebook Page to essentially act as an individual. Now you can log into Facebook as a Page, you can Like other pages and after you do, their updates show up in your activity stream, you can participate as your page in conversations on other pages, you can comment as your Page, post content as your Page, and share content as your Page. This will create a lot more opportunities for brands to play outside of their own Facebook Page sandbox. Here’s a demo of the changes. New Facebook Page Updates from eStrategy.

This is exactly what I was hoping they’d add. It’s much better for branding on Facebook now, at least for the projects I’m working on. Thanks for making the video. It saves me a lot of time diving in myself.
